Mutual Dissolution

Artwork at Grand Union as part of New Art West Midlands. 'Mutual Dissolution' explores the correspondence of the singular cinematic experience of the spectator on screen which, in turn, mirrors that of the viewer, and the collective cinematic experience of which cinema is commonly experienced. Scenes of 'non-spaces' or empty spaces explore themes of the spectator’s bodily dissolution when experiencing cinema, through the visual representation of isolation in terms of deserted space and solitary figures. The only clear faces the spectator shall see will be that of their own and the surrounding audience: showing the unison of the singular and collective cinematic experience.
